Danny Haynes scored his first senior goal in injury time to grab the Blues a 2-2 home draw with QPR. Stefan Moore had put the visitors ahead on 26, Jason De Vos equalising eight minutes later prior to Paul Furlong reclaiming a lead Rangers kept until Haynes's late header.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks revealed that the club is close to renegotiating the terms of its debts with its three biggest lenders at Thursday night's club AGM. Sheepshanks also reiterated that Town are continuing to search for outside investment.

Midfielder Kevin Horlock returns to the Town side for the home game with Reading after completing a one-match suspension. Town will still be without Owen Garvan and Adam Proudlock for the visit of the Royals.

Loanee Gavin Williams scored on his debut as the Blues' first game at Coventry's new Ricoh Arena ended in a 1-1 draw. Williams put Town ahead on 50 but Gary McSheffrey equalised six minutes later.

Striker Billy Clarke netted after two minutes to give Town's U18s a 1-0 victory over Norwich's youngsters in the Academy derby at Portman Road. The Blues were the better side throughout and the margin of victory flattered the visitors.

Town got back to winning ways as Plymouth were comfortably defeated 3-1. Jay McEveley opened the scoring with his first goal for the Blues, Jimmy Juan adding a second before the break. In the second half, Akos Buzsaky pulled one back from a freekick before Matt Richards settled it with a penalty.

Town failed to create a single chance of note as Watford left Portman Road with a 1-0 win. Ashley Young scored the only goal of the game 10 minutes after the break.

Town threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Coventry. Darren Currie and Jimmy Juan put the Blues ahead but Gary McSheffrey and Lilian Nalis netted either side of the break. Nicky Forster appeared to have scored the winner late on but the referee deemed the ball not to have crossed the line.

Dismal Town were easily defeated 2-0 by second-placed Reading at the Madejski Stadium. Richard Naylor netted an 18th minute own goal and Kevin Doyle scored the second after the break, while for the Blues Sam Parkin squandered a great chance and Adam Proudlock had a shot blocked when goal-bound.
